Give yourself freedom to paint and explore

All too often, I see people online sharing their artwork and being shot down by trolls or negativity in the comments section. Some people don’t like the creation; don’t think the style you’re sharing is “art” or just have negative language when commenting. You might get to a point of wanting to give up or not bother interacting within the creative community or with the artists you follow. I get it. It happens all the time. BUT… I revert to the mindset of not letting others dictate to me what I can and can’t create. A saying spring to mind, which I won’t repeat here, but I think you’ll know it. Begins with F and ends in it. If you don’t like it, scroll on. If you do, great. But the real point to make here is give yourself a break and allow yourself the freedom to paint and explore no matter what the feedback is you receive.

After all, when we share our creations, we are automatically asking for acceptance or feedback.

Instead, share your work regardless of intention or feedback. Share it because you are proud of what you’ve created. Share it because it’s what came to you whilst exploring your creatively. Share it “just because” without needing or wanting any feedback at all (unless you’re sharing for constructive advice or feedback of course). Share it because it makes you feel happy. Share it in the hope that you will inspire someone else to take that leap of faith to paint or explore their own creatively. Share it because you want to flood your timeline with Art. Share it because you’re brave enough to whilst others hide behind their keyboards.

Whatever the intention, allow yourself and give yourselves the freedom to paint and explore your own creatively without fear of judgement or criticism. Just paint. The world can be a little depressing at times, but you can always bring the positive vibes to it by sharing what you create. We are all unique. We are all different. We can all create something special. We have two more months left of 2025, life is short, so… Go for it.
